The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas presents its compliments
to the Royal Netherlands Embassy and has the honour to refer to the Embassy's Notes
No. 4654 of November 18, 1980, concerning the Extradition Treaty concluded between
the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and the Kingdom of the Netherlands
on 26th September, 1898.
The Embassy's Note, No. 4654 of 18 November, 1980, which contained a proposal for
an Exchange of Notes reads as follows:

The Ministry has pleasure in confirming that the proposal contained in the Embassy's
aforesaid Note is acceptable to the Government of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas
and that the Embassy's Note and this Note shall constitute an Agreement between the
Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Commonwealth of The Bahamas on this subject, which
Agreement shall apply, as regards the Kingdom of the Netherlands, to the Kingdom in
Europe and to the Netherlands Antilles and which shall enter into force on the date
on which the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Government of the
Commonwealth of The Bahamas have notified each other that the formalities constitionally
required therefore in both countries have been complied with.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas avails itself of
the opportunity of renewing to the Embassy of the Royal Netherlands, the assurances
of its highest consideration.
