The Kingdom of the Netherlands,
and
the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)
Recalling that the General Conference of UNESCO, at its 39th session (Resolution 39 C/19), approved in 2017 the establishment of the IHE Delft
Institute for Water Education in the Netherlands as a category 2 institute under the
auspices of UNESCO and authorized the Director-General of UNESCO to sign the corresponding
Agreement;
Having regard to the Agreement between the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization
(UNESCO) and the Kingdom of the Netherlands concerning the IHE Delft Institute for
Water Education in the Netherlands as an institute under the auspices of UNESCO (category
2), concluded in Paris on 15 December 2017, which entered in force on 26 July 2018;
Recalling that the Executive Board of UNESCO, at its 219 session (Decision 219 EX/SR.5), decided
to renew the status of the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education in the Netherlands
as a category 2 institute under the auspices of UNESCO and authorized the Director-General
of UNESCO to sign the corresponding Agreement;
Desirous of defining the terms and conditions governing the framework for cooperation between
UNESCO and the Kingdom of the Netherlands concerning the renewal of the IHE Delft
Institute for Water Education as a category 2 institute under this Agreement;
Considering that UNESCO and the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education in the Netherlands have
signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 25 July 2024,
