The Royal Netherlands Embassy presents its compliments to the Consular Affairs Department
of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China and has the honour
to acknowledge receipt of the Latter's Note (96) No. (Ling) 6–94 of 27 August 1996,
which put forward supplementary proposals with regard to the Agreement reached by
the two Governments on 28 March 1980 on visas for the crew members of airlines of
the two sides and the resident personnel of their offices.
The Embassy confirms that, if the air companies designated by the two sides employ
people of a third country as crew members in performing tasks in flights agreed upon,
both Parties shall implement, as supplement to point 2 of the aforementioned Agreement
as follows. The designated airline of each Party shall provide to the other Party
another list of names in sextuplicate, which should include name, date of birth, position,
nationality, number of passport or number of flying license. Four weeks after the
list is provided, all the crew members listed, except those who are in dispute, shall
be exempt from visas for performing flying tasks as agreed upon and can enter and
exit the territory of the other Party upon the strength of valid passports or flying
licences.
On behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands the Embassy has the
honour furthermore to confirm that this note and the note of the Consular Affairs
Department constitutes an agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands
and the Government of the People's Republic of China, which will be a supplementary
document to the abovementioned Agreement of 28 March 1980 and which will come into
effect on the date of receipt of this note.
The Royal Netherlands Embassy avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Consular
Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of
